Michael is a Chicago-based partner in Oliver Wyman's Automotive and Manufacturing Industries practice. He advises automotive OEMs, dealers, suppliers, and off-road equipment companies across agriculture, construction, mining, power generation, material handling, energy, and industrial goods. 

 

With more than 20 years of consulting and industry experience, Michael focuses on growth strategy, AI- and digital-enabled transformation, connected asset services, aftermarket growth, and M&A. His work includes dealer-enabled go-to-market models, predictive maintenance and telematics, service productivity, supply chain transformation, product cost engineering and design-to-cost, energy transition value capture, several full-cycle M&A deals, and extensive buy- and sell-side diligence across industrial and technology sectors. 

 

Before joining Oliver Wyman, Michael held senior strategy, corporate development, digital transformation, operating, and market-building roles at Caterpillar, John Deere, and technology ventures. His experience spans markets across North America, India, and Central and Eastern Europe. He holds an MBA in finance from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and is a named inventor on several patents in predictive maintenance and connected assets. 

 

Outside of work, Michael enjoys long-distance running, exploring the mountains of Utah, and reading widely about how enduring philosophical and technological ideas shape people, institutions, and society.  

 

He is fluent in English and Russian.
