The Great Wealth Transfer Will Amplify Green Investments

Younger investors are willing to prioritize the environment over returns, as a wealth transfer of $84 trillion is expected over the next 20 years

The great wealth transfer is going green.

Young investors overwhelmingly favor sustainability but currently control just around one-third of global assets. That’s about to change dramatically.

Over the next two decades, the "great wealth transfer" will move $84 trillion to younger generations, empowering millennials, Gen Z, and Gen X to drive their investment preferences. Even more impactful: women are set to inherit 70% of these assets globally, and they’re already more committed than men to sustainable investing (71% vs. 58%).

Younger investors say they are willing to prioritize the environment over returns as a wealth transfer of $84 trillion unfolds over the next 20 years.
