Global tourism has now surpassed pre-Covid highs — contributing 10% of global GDP at $10.9 trillion. But the recovery isn’t uniform.

The Middle East stands out as the fastest-growing region since 2019, led by Saudi Arabia and the UAE, driven by stability, connectivity, major events, and infrastructure investment. Jordan and Lebanon, meanwhile, continue to feel the effects of regional conflict.

Looking ahead, the Middle East and Africa are set to keep growing, while Europe, Asia, and the Americas remain the industry’s heavyweights. Geopolitics and investment will continue to reshape the global tourism map.
