Where: Virtual fireside chat
When: September 13, 2021 | 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. BST
Overview:
Our current social contract is built on a model where women look after the young and the old for free, which is unsustainable as more women are educated and in paid work.
The economic gains of a truly gender-neutral labor market are potentially huge but how we provide childcare is crucial to unlocking these. Engaging mothers and fathers, a strong role for Government and corporates are all a critical part of the puzzle.
We will host a virtual fireside chat to discuss how businesses can ‘disarm the parent trap’ and transform mid career retention and development.
Speakers:
- Ann Cairns, Global chair of the 30% Club, Executive Vice Chair of Mastercard, and lead NED of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS)
- Baroness Minouche Shafik, Director of the London School of Economics
- Rupal Kantaria, Partner, Oliver Wyman Forum
