Democratic Resilience In Uncertain Times: How Do We Overcome Our Fear?

Overview

The Oliver Wyman Forum, in collaboration with the Verian Group, is hosting a breakfast roundtable to discuss the conditions of democratic resilience in Germany and explore how a coalition of public, private, and civil society actors can support the formation of a new consensus.

The experts from the Verian Group will provide empirical answers to the following questions:

  • Why are the Germans losing confidence, and what new narrative for the future is needed to overcome this fear?
  • How divided is Germany really? Why are young people turning to the political extremes, and what does this mean for the future?
  • How can we form alliances to support our democracy in a time of social inequality and economic challenges? Can we succeed in instilling a sense of security and optimism in the people of Germany during such difficult times?
