Europe's Banking System: Six Months Ahead

Taking stock of the macroeconomic impact of COVID-19 and the unparalleled challenges ahead for Europe's banking system.

Overview:

Together with the Florence School of Banking and Finance at the European University Institutethe Oliver Wyman Forum is hosting an online debate that will take stock of the macroeconomic impact of the COVID-19 crisis and of the fiscal measures being taken to protect our societies and economies from the coronavirus. It will also discuss the unparalleled challenges that will follow for Europe’s banking system.

With forward-looking solutions in mind, the discussion will discuss what we can infer from the latest macroeconomic scenarios, how European economies will look six months from now, and which policies are needed to prevent market fragmentation and ring-fencing.

The session will be moderated by Elena Carletti, a finance professor at Bocconi University.
